How Much Does Revit Cost? The Price and How to Pay Far Less Legally

3D model of a building as illustration for Revit

A Revit subscription from Autodesk costs around €3,400 per year, or about €285 per month if you pay annually, or roughly €430 per month on a monthly plan. Autodesk no longer sells perpetual licenses. At Licono, you can buy a genuine, legally resold Revit license from €69.95.

The Revit price comes in a few fixed tiers, depending on how far in advance you pay. Below, you’ll see exactly what Autodesk charges per month, per year, and over multiple years, why you pay a fraction of that at Licono, and why the AEC Collection is often a smarter choice than standalone Revit.

What Does Revit Cost at Autodesk?

Autodesk sells Revit only as a subscription. So you rent the software for a period rather than owning it. The price depends on how far in advance you pay: the longer the term, the lower the monthly cost. Exact amounts vary by country, and Autodesk adjusts them almost every year, so treat the figures below as a guide.

Autodesk subscription termPrice (approx.)Effective per month
Monthly subscription€430 per month€430
Annual subscription€3,400 per yeararound €285
Three-year subscriptionaround €9,700 totalaround €270

The monthly plan is the most expensive per month and is mainly for short-term projects. If you pay for one or three years upfront, the monthly price drops, but you’re locked in for that period. So think carefully about how long you really need Revit before committing to a multi-year subscription.

Standalone Revit or the AEC Collection?

This is the key calculation with Revit. Standalone Revit costs about €3,400 per year from Autodesk. The AEC Collection costs about €3,800 per year and includes Revit plus AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Navisworks, and a range of other construction and infrastructure software. For a few hundred euros more, you get a substantial bundle.

If you use any other Autodesk program alongside Revit, the AEC Collection is almost always the most cost-effective route. If you’re unsure whether you need Revit or AutoCAD, first read AutoCAD or Revit: which do you really need?

How Can Licono Offer Revit from €69.95?

Licono sells genuine Autodesk licenses that were originally issued within the European Economic Area and are now legally resold. Because these are existing licenses, not new subscriptions bought directly from Autodesk, the price is a fraction of the official list price. You pay once, receive the license usually within minutes to hours by email, and get a VAT invoice.

It’s exactly the same software. You download Revit from Autodesk and activate it with the license Licono provides. The difference isn’t in the product but in where the license comes from: resold rather than new. Features, file formats, and updates within that version are identical to a license bought directly from Autodesk.

What Exactly Do You Get at Licono?

We don’t promise an exact percentage, because Autodesk’s list prices change and vary by region. The ratio is still clear: where a year of Revit at Autodesk costs around €3,400, a license at Licono starts under €70. You pay a fraction of the list price, and it’s a one-time payment instead of paying again every year.

Say you work with Revit for three years. On an annual subscription at Autodesk, you’d pay around €10,200 (three times €3,400), and after those three years you still own nothing; if you stop paying, your access ends. If you buy a resold license from Licono for the same period, you stay well under €150 for the starting price. Over three years, the difference runs into the thousands of euros.

Not every cheap seller is trustworthy, so check a few things. Only buy from a seller that provides a VAT invoice, because that makes the purchase demonstrably legal. Ask what the resale is based on: a serious seller refers to the UsedSoft ruling and delivers genuine licenses rather than shared accounts. And choose a seller with reachable customer service, so you’re not left alone during activation. Licono meets all three.

Directly from Autodesk, Revit costs about €3,400 per year, every year, with no perpetual option. Through Licono, you buy a genuine, legally resold license from €69.95, with fast delivery and a VAT invoice. If you work with multiple Autodesk programs, the AEC Collection is the most cost-effective route. If you also work with AutoCAD, check out what AutoCAD costs.

If you’re torn between a standalone Revit license and the AEC Collection, that trade-off is fully worked out in standalone Revit or the AEC Collection, including what happens when you need to equip multiple workstations.
